Nicola Chiorzi, in arte kik*, fotografo e grafico varesino, persegue da alcuni anni uno studio personale che affianca alla tecnica fotografica una approfondita ricerca sullo sviluppo digitale dell’immagine.
Le opere sono prima di tutto un viaggio onirico che, attraverso uno sguardo visionario, ripropone la realtà come una dimensione alternativa, uguale eppure differente dal vero. Un “occhio alieno” che reinterpreta l’ambiente urbano, i suoi contrasti, i gesti e i luoghi più comuni attraverso prospettive personali, a volte vertiginose, a volte eccessive, ottenute da inquadrature grandangolari e dall’uso di sfocati e mossi.
Una fotografia istintiva ed emotiva che trasfigura il reale dando vita ad un immaginario del tutto personale.
Gli scatti, si caratterizzano per una particolare composizione nelle inquadrature in fase di ripresa, alla quale segue una singolare postproduzione a computer che consente di trasformare l’immagine accentuandone l’impatto comunicativo ed emotivo.
Nicola Chiorzi, aka kik*, is a photographer and graphic designer from Varese (Italy). In the latest years he’s been pursuing a personal study which combines the photographic technique with a deep quest of the digital development of the image.
His artworks are a dreamlike journey that present reality through a visionary perspective as an alternative dimension equal but still different from the original subject. An alien kik eye reinterprets the urban ambiance and its contrasts, the common gestures and the places through a personal view, at times a swirling and rather excessive view, achieved by the use of wide angle shots, the blurry and the wavy effect.
An instinctive and emotional photography which transfigures reality and creates its unique and personal imagery.
The distinctive features of these pics are a peculiar composition of the angle focus during shooting together with a maniac digital postproduction where kik transforms the image unveiling its communicative and emotional impact.
